Maumee Memorial Day Parade Apppearance

Monday, Memorial Day Parade in Maumee, Ohio. I chose to walk in the parade and passed out candy to all the kids I could. My body guard/personal assistant Nick escorted me in the parade, and took pictures of everything and handed out some business cards too! Steven went also and was in charge on Xena, she was walking in the parade, except she decided to be a Diva when the parade started and didn't want to walk so he carried her throughout the parade route. Some people thought it was cute that she got tired and had to be carried, but we told them the truth that she was being a Diva and wouldn't walk. lol

It was a lot of fun, the Toledo Humane Society brought about 15 -20 dogs and had walkers for each dog plus others handing out candy and some helping with water for the dogs. Mom helped out with water patrol for the dogs.
Below Tank tired out and to find comfort and too cool down decided to lay down in the puddle of mud. It was hilarious. Every time he had a chance he would just plop down and rest lol. Eventually he wouldn't get up and go anymore so he had to be put in the back of the truck.

After the parade was over, we were walking back to our cars, where we came across a Mother Duck and her 9 babies had fallen into a sewer drain. We were able to elicit some help from the Water and sewer service and Maumee police. Mother Duck was very upset bc she could hear her babies but couldn't get to them. So we helped to rescue the babies, we were able to secure all the babies and mama and while trying to get the very last gosling from the drain the mother duck got loose and flew away. We tried to lure her back to the sewer drain area but she wouldn't come so we all went looking for her to reunite her with her babies. We did find her but was unable to capture her and get her and the babies safely to a water location such as the river or a park. So after hours of trying we at least found a safe place to release the babies and then the mother caught up when them and they waddled away. Here's a few pics of the mama duck and babies.....
