I would like to say that this year has gone by so fast and I wish I had more time as Miss Cuyahoga County. When Sylvia called me the night before Sweeps, I was flooded with many emotions and didn’t know what to think or do. Finally, my wish and Dream was coming true! I am now Miss Cuyahoga County and going to MISS OHIO!! I had mixed emotions about this title because while I was excited to represent Miss Cuyahoga County at Miss Ohio, it wasn’t exactly how I wanted to win my first title. But I was reminded it’s not as important how I get there (to Miss Ohio) that mattered but the journey there, I had worked very hard these past few years and in a short period of time I prepared to be the best Miss Cuyahoga County I could be. I worked closely with my Platform and the Toledo Area Humane Society, with educational camps, Bark in the Park Event, and Wine tasting Event for Wood Co. Humane Society. I visited the Children’s Miracle Network in my own community at Mercy St V’s Hospital, visiting the children in the Pediatric ICU and delivered blankets to the kids, plus enjoyed a Golf outing in Findlay with Miss Ohio 2010 Becky Minger, raising money for CMN. I feel like I am making a difference in my life, and my community with my title and my platform and hopefully changing other lives for the better as well.
As Miss Cuyahoga County, I have had a BLAST and I am so sad that my reign is over and time to pass the title to the next lucky girl. To the lucky girls who win today, they will have a great support system and family with Sylvia & Harvey. I feel very Blessed to have been given this title and for bringing Sylvia and Harvey into my life forever. I want to Thank them both for all they did to help me get ready for Miss Ohio and for everything you gave to me and my parents at Miss Ohio, from your loving support to badges, dinner, flowers and special gifts. You both made my first Miss Ohio experience the BEST EVER and one that I will always remember and cherish. I am proud to be one of your girls!!!
I was proud to represent my title of Miss Cuyahoga County at Miss Ohio. I had the best time there, even when it seemed hectic at times. From the Miss Ohio Festival, the Parade, Appearances and actual competition. It was everything I had dreamed of and more. I felt like a Princess during that week and it is a great feeling. I came to Miss Ohio to leave my mark and I feel that I accomplished that plus I had the best time. I made new friendships and was able to share this great experience with many pageant friends. I want to THANK my Host family, Robin & Theresa Jakubiak for letting me stay in their home during Miss Ohio week. You guys are the best and Theresa thanks for my Bacon! To the best room-mate ever, Devon Stansbury. You are so awesome and so glad we were roomies and now friends. To Nancy Keinath, my Chaperone … You are the BEST! Thanks for everything you did for me and for all the support these past few years in the program. I feel I was the lucky one for having these amazing people a part of a wonderful and memorable experience at Miss Ohio. The biggest THANK YOU I can give is to my Amazing Parents. My mom and dad, have done so much for me my entire life and I truly don’t know what I would do without their love and support. Having them there at Miss Ohio and just supporting me is all I need. Thanks for everything you did to help me get there, time, patience and financial support as well. My Pets, Annie, Xena, Palmer, Leia, Yoda and Prince Charming all have to be recognized as well, because of them and my love for animals has shaped my career goal to be a Veterinarian and also encourages me to follow my heart with my Platform, P.E.T.S. Promoting Education, Training and Safety.
To all the contestants competing today and in any future pageants, Good Luck!! Remember to just be yourself and have fun! If all you do is worry about winning, then you may miss out on the opportunities and friendships that may cross your path. I have been so grateful and Blessed to hold the title of Miss Cuyahoga County, representing the Miss Greater Cleveland/Cuyahoga County program, the Miss Ohio/Miss America program, my Platform and myself in a positive way. Thank you and God Bless!

My Last appearance as Miss Cuyahoga County
My LAST Appearance as Miss Cuyahoga County.......
Arriving In Independence, Ohio there was this huge water tower I think? that had Independence "The Heart of Cuyahoga County" on it, so I couldn't resist to get one last picture with my Miss Cuyahoga County crown and banner. Love these pics.
Friday August 5th I was invited to attend Independence Ohio Festival days and judge the Little Miss and Junior Miss Independence Pageant. There were 17 Little girls and 6 Juniors. They were all adorable!! Here are a few pics of the pageant.
Do you recognize this woman in the picture with me??
She was a featured guest at the Miss Independence pageant. She spoke with the little girls and talked about her experiences as a former Miss Independence. I had the opportunity to meet and talk with her as well. Do you know? Well, I will tell you that she is a former Miss Ohio!!
I would like to introduce you to Kathy Baumann, former Miss Ohio 1969 (former Miss Bowling Green). She is also the Aunt of another former Miss Ohio 1999, Tiffany Baumann. Kathy went on to the Miss America pageant and was 1st Runner Up, also winning the individual events of Swimsuit, Talent and Interview at Miss America!!!! She lost the title of Miss America, because of her parents being divorced and MA had never had a Miss America with divorced parents before, and it was considered unfashionable. Just a little Miss America Trivia

Appearance @ CMN Golf Outing.....
Trying to catch up! On Wednesday June 29th I was at a CMN golf outing in Findlay with Becky Minger. It was a great day and I was so glad that I got to spend some time with Becky and get to talk to her. I trusted Becky with her amazing golf cart driving skills=], we got to talk to the golfers out on the green, meet some of the CMN children that were there helping get donations for the 50/50 raffle and door prizes, hanging a good time. Becky even thought at one point the golf cart was running out of gas when it was an electric cart. haha. We also seemed to be playing hide and seek with some of the golfers because we couldn't find anyone for about an hour. We helped with the raffle prizes and Becky used her crown box to pull the tickets out. I had an amazing day!
